The Animator & Video Editor will lead video production, create motion designs, collaborate with marketing teams, and drive innovation while managing multiple projects.
As our Animator & Video Editor, you won't just be cutting clips—you will be the visual storyteller who brings the ActiveCampaign brand to life through dynamic motion and cinematic flair. You will sit at the intersection of design and technology, transforming complex ideas into intuitive, delightful, and high-impact video experiences.
This is a role for a creative powerhouse who understands that motion is more than just movement—it’s a tool to engage, inspire, and drive real results. Working closely with a world-class team of designers, writers, and marketing leaders, you will shape our brand’s visual language across every touchpoint. If you are a forward-thinking creator who thrives on pushing creative boundaries while maintaining a meticulous eye for design excellence, you’ll find a home here.
On a typical day, you might:
- Lead end-to-end video production, editing and assembling raw footage while seamlessly integrating high-end animation, typography, and graphic layouts.
- Architect motion designs from scratch, taking projects from initial storyboarding to final polish, ensuring every graphic element feels alive and on-brand.
- Collaborate as a creative partner with Product Marketing and Content teams to brainstorm and execute video concepts that resonate with global audiences.
- Apply rigorous design principles—including typography, hierarchy, and color theory—to ensure every frame of video is as functional as it is beautiful.
- Drive innovation and trend-setting by monitoring the motion design landscape, using fresh insights to push our creative envelope while staying true to our core voice.
- Own the creative process from early ideation through to launch, aligning your work with product visions and major go-to-market initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally across organic social, paid media, and brand teams to deliver high-performing assets on tight deadlines.
- Ground your creativity in data, using audience insights and performance metrics to shape and expand our digital user experiences.
- Champion design excellence by participating in and leading critiques, constantly honing your craft and elevating the standards of the entire creative team.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in animation and video editing, preferably within a high-growth tech environment or creative agency.
- An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates advanced brand-driven storytelling, sophisticated motion design, and a strong eye for graphic design.
- Advanced expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects and Premiere Pro, along with proficiency in Figma.
- Deep knowledge of social media strategy, with a proven track record of tailoring high-performing content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Mastery of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, and color theory, applied specifically to time-based media.
- Technical expertise in post-production workflows, including contemporary file formats, codecs, and archival best practices to ensure a future-proof library.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Exceptional creative problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail that ensures every pixel and keyframe is intentional.
- A passion for building memorable brand experiences and a desire to influence the visual direction of a global leader in marketing automation.
